Hi there =) So as far as I know SAA doesn't recruit often, probably the salary and working conditions are good so people tend to stay for a while. What you can do meanwhile, waiting if they open recruitment again, is to enroll to the so called "cabin crew skills programme" which will give you the SACAA cabin crew license and a general understanding of the cabin crew role. To be eligible for this programme you need to meet the following criteria: You must have a Grade 12 or equivalent diploma Pass in English at Grade 12 level (or equivalent) Pass SAA English Language Proficiency Test You must have good interpersonal skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English Safety orientated Culturally sensitive You must have the ability to work under pressure No negative findings on SAA’s pre-employment checks (criminal, credit and qualification checks) Must be medically fit Minimum height of 1.58m Be a competent swimmer Please note that this programme can give you a cabin crew license but employment with SAA is not guaranteed. If you are willing to relocate you can get experience abroad, for example you will have a Qatar airways recruitment day in Johannesburg on the 14 of January, have a look on this link =) http://careers.qatarairways.com/qatarairways/VacancyDetail.aspx?VacancyID=120213 best of luck =)
ps also keep an eye on SAA careers page, in case they open the recruitment again =) https://www.flysaa.com/ua/en/SAA_Careers/flysaa_careers_welcome.html
