What kind of an employment agreement will I get?

You will be employed with a Maltese contract according to the Maltese Labour Law and your taxes and social premiums will be paid in Malta. Your employment agreement will end on 31st October 2017. It is Corendon’s principle to work with cabin crew members on a long term base. Therefore, we will make an evaluation in October of your performance and general work behavior and if positive, we will extend your contract for 1 year.

What kind of an attestation do I need?
You must be holder of a valid Cabin Crew Attestation (issued according to the EU-Reg.1178/2011 in the latest version) and your last flight must have taken place in the last 5 years. If you didn’t fly longer than 5 years, your Cabin Crew Attestation won’t be valid anymore and you won’t be able to start at Corendon.

Where is my home base?
Between 24th May and 15th October 2017 your home base will be Tel Aviv, Israel. During your stay in Tel Aviv, Corendon will provide your accommodation in a self-catering aparthotel.
From 15th October on, there are two possibilities. The first possibility is that you continue to stay in Tel Aviv. The second possibility is that your home base changes as Hurghada, Egypt. In both cases, your accommodation will also be taken care of by Corendon in a self-catering aparthotel. During your employment, you will be informed on time about what will happen after 15th October.
Salary

For example, a cabin crew member with 1-year experience will receive a basic salary of 500 € gross monthly. Per flight hour you will be earning 13 €. With an average of 75 flight hours per month, this will be 1.475 € gross per month (average 1.113 € net per month). On top of this, you will receive a commission of 150 € net averagely per month for the in-flight sales.
If you fly less than 65 hours a month due to operational reasons you will be paid for a minimum of 65 hours a month. If you have less than 65 flight hours a month because of personal reasons (e.g. unpaid vacation), then you will only be paid for the actual number of flying hours realized in that particular month.

Language allowance: ( if applicable)

You will be paid a language allowance of 100€ according to the language profile of our passengers. As our flight operations and destinations will change, the language allowance will also be variable. For example, during the flights from and to Tel Aviv, we will carry tourists from Israel to Europe and back. In this case, a language allowance of 100 € will be paid extra if you know the Hebrew language. As “English” is the common language in aviation, English is exceptional and not listed for the extra language allowance.
Flexibility allowance: ( if applicable)
As Corendon employs cabin crew from different destinations, you will most probably be working in a destination different from your hometown. Therefore, Corendon pays an extra 100 € for your flexibility. Local cabin crew members will not be receiving such a flexibility allowance.
10. How many flight hours will I have every month?

The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has set flight time limitations. According to these limitations, the maximum flight hours per 28 days is 100 flight hours. At Corendon, you will be flying around 75 flight hours per month.

What about my transportation at my home base?
As we mentioned before, Corendon provides your accommodation in an aparthotel. A shuttle will be arranged between your hotel and the airport. So you won’t have any travel expenses between your hotel and the airport.

Do I have vacation days during my employment as a Cabin Crew Member?

Yes. As you will be working with a Maltese Employment Agreement, the Maltese laws are applicable in the matter of vacation days. For every month worked, you will receive 2 days paid vacation. If the operational planning allows it, you can request paid vacation. Please keep in mind that it is not possible to take vacation days during the high season, especially in the bottleneck period.
