 About Hi Fly

The airline was incorporated in 2005 and concluded its initial certification process in April 2006, when it was issued with an Air Operator Certificate by the Portugal civil aviation authority, INAC.Since obtaining its Air Operator's Certificate, the carrier has gained all the statutory EU-OPS (regulations specifying minimum safety and related procedures for commercial passenger and cargo fixed-wing aviation) and Federal Aviation Administration Safety Agency (EASA) approvals. It also obtained the IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) certification in September 2011.

Hi Fly's first aircraft was an Airbus A330-300 which had previously been operated by Air Luxor (which was owned by the same family that now owns Hi Fly before being sold and shut down). The aircraft was recently under contract to the Air Component of the Belgian Armed Forces until the end of 2013. Two A310-300s were then added in 2008 and these were leased to Oman Air flying the carrier's first long-haul routes (to London/Heathrow and Bangkok). New aircraft were then delivered from Airbus in 2008 and 2009: an A330-200 and two A340-500s, the latter used for approximately 5 years on behalf of Arik Air in Nigeria on its route between Lagos and New York/John F. Kennedy, painted in its colors, until Hi Fly repossessed the airframes in spring 2015. Since then, more A330s and A340s have also been obtained, including four in 2013. In February 2014, Hi Fly added its first narrow-body aircraft, an A321-200 that has been leased to the Belgian Army in replacement of the former A330-300.

At the start of March 2013, Hi Fly Malta was created as Hi Fly's Maltese subsidiary operating a fleet of Airbus A340-600s; that division now houses a pair of A340-300s.

Hi Fly's head office is located in Lisbon’s city center. Inside are all the corporate offices plus departments for flight and ground operations, engineering, and maintenance, safety, security, commercial, finance, administration as well as quality control. There are also training classrooms for flight and cabin crews. At Lisbon Airport, there is a maintenance hangar operated by MESA – a group subsidiary.

About SAS

Scandinavian Airlines, often shortened to SAS (previously Scandinavian Airlines System and legally Scandinavian Airlines System Denmark-Norway-Sweden) is the flag carrier of Sweden, Norway and Denmark, and the second largest airline in Scandinavia in terms of passengers (after fellow rival Norwegian).

Part of the SAS Group and headquartered at the SAS Frösundavik Office Building in Solna, Sweden, the airline operates 182 aircraft to 90 destinations. The airline's main hub is at Copenhagen-Kastrup Airport, with connections to over 50 cities in Europe. Stockholm-Arlanda Airport (with more than 30 European connections) and Oslo Airport, Gardermoen are the other major hubs. Minor hubs also exist at Bergen Airport, Flesland, Göteborg Landvetter Airport, Stavanger Airport, Sola and Trondheim Airport, Værnes. SAS Cargo is an independent, wholly owned subsidiary of Scandinavian Airlines and its main office is at Copenhagen Airport.

In 2012, SAS carried 25.9 million passengers, achieving revenues of SEK 36 billion. This makes it the eighth-largest airline in Europe. The SAS fleet consists of Airbus A319, A320, A321, A330 and A340, and Boeing 737 Next Generation aircraft. In addition, SAS also wet leased ATR 72, Saab 2000 and Bombardier CRJ900 aircraft.[7]

The airline was founded in 1946 as a consortium to pool the transatlantic operations of Svensk Interkontinental Lufttrafik, Det Norske Luftfartselskap, and Det Danske Luftfartselskab. The consortium was extended to cover European and domestic cooperation two years later. In 1951, all the airlines were merged to create SAS.

SAS is also one of the founding members of the world's largest alliance, Star Alliance

source: wikipedia.org

What does it take to be part of the Corendon airlines team?

At least a high school education degree.
Initial Safety Training Attestation or Initial Training Certificate issued under EU-Reg.1178/2011 in the latest version.
Excellent command of written and spoken English (additional languages are desirable)
Height between 170 to 185 cm for male candidates and between 165 to 180 cm for female candidates. Height has to be in proportion with weight.
Immaculate appearance.
Minimum 20-years-old.
Medically fit to meet aircrew requirements.
Able to swim.
Holder of a valid EU passport allowing unlimited traveling.
Enthusiastic, dynamic and self-motivated
Strong representation skills and advanced customer satisfaction awareness.
Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
With a proactive approach to encourage continuous improvement within the company.

What kind of an employment agreement will I get?

You will be employed with a Maltese contract according to the Maltese Labour Law and your taxes and social premiums will be paid in Malta. Your employment agreement will end on 31st October 2017. It is Corendon’s principle to work with cabin crew members on a long term base. Therefore, we will make an evaluation in October of your performance and general work behavior and if positive, we will extend your contract for 1 year.

What kind of an attestation do I need?
You must be holder of a valid Cabin Crew Attestation (issued according to the EU-Reg.1178/2011 in the latest version) and your last flight must have taken place in the last 5 years. If you didn’t fly longer than 5 years, your Cabin Crew Attestation won’t be valid anymore and you won’t be able to start at Corendon.

Where is my home base?
Between 24th May and 15th October 2017 your home base will be Tel Aviv, Israel. During your stay in Tel Aviv, Corendon will provide your accommodation in a self-catering aparthotel.
From 15th October on, there are two possibilities. The first possibility is that you continue to stay in Tel Aviv. The second possibility is that your home base changes as Hurghada, Egypt. In both cases, your accommodation will also be taken care of by Corendon in a self-catering aparthotel. During your employment, you will be informed on time about what will happen after 15th October.
Salary

For example, a cabin crew member with 1-year experience will receive a basic salary of 500 € gross monthly. Per flight hour you will be earning 13 €. With an average of 75 flight hours per month, this will be 1.475 € gross per month (average 1.113 € net per month). On top of this, you will receive a commission of 150 € net averagely per month for the in-flight sales.
If you fly less than 65 hours a month due to operational reasons you will be paid for a minimum of 65 hours a month. If you have less than 65 flight hours a month because of personal reasons (e.g. unpaid vacation), then you will only be paid for the actual number of flying hours realized in that particular month.

Language allowance: ( if applicable)

You will be paid a language allowance of 100€ according to the language profile of our passengers. As our flight operations and destinations will change, the language allowance will also be variable. For example, during the flights from and to Tel Aviv, we will carry tourists from Israel to Europe and back. In this case, a language allowance of 100 € will be paid extra if you know the Hebrew language. As “English” is the common language in aviation, English is exceptional and not listed for the extra language allowance.
Flexibility allowance: ( if applicable)
As Corendon employs cabin crew from different destinations, you will most probably be working in a destination different from your hometown. Therefore, Corendon pays an extra 100 € for your flexibility. Local cabin crew members will not be receiving such a flexibility allowance.
10. How many flight hours will I have every month?

The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has set flight time limitations. According to these limitations, the maximum flight hours per 28 days is 100 flight hours. At Corendon, you will be flying around 75 flight hours per month.

What about my transportation at my home base?
As we mentioned before, Corendon provides your accommodation in an aparthotel. A shuttle will be arranged between your hotel and the airport. So you won’t have any travel expenses between your hotel and the airport.

Do I have vacation days during my employment as a Cabin Crew Member?

Yes. As you will be working with a Maltese Employment Agreement, the Maltese laws are applicable in the matter of vacation days. For every month worked, you will receive 2 days paid vacation. If the operational planning allows it, you can request paid vacation. Please keep in mind that it is not possible to take vacation days during the high season, especially in the bottleneck period.
